Detached covers, flaking and desiccated leather.
Loose front endsheets, residue of adhesive on spine edge.
Split leather in hinge of spine.
Area of loss at top of spine.
Loose sewing, break in text block.
Loss and abrasion of sewing cords.

Dry cleaned throughout.
Media testing with water and ethanol.
Humidified loose endsheets to separate and removed old adhesive.
Reattached loose endsheets with tissue hinges.
Faced leather spine to safely separate from book.
Removed old adhesive and liner on spine.
Reinforced sewing stations and added new spine liner.
Lifted pastedown on covers, reattached to text block with overlong liner.
Created new spine with tinted moriki, attached under lifted leather on covers.
Reattached original leather spine.
Consolidated abraded board and leather on covers and tinted to match.
